Volkswagen India has announced a price hike on the popular model Vento sedan. VW India has upped only the price of the Diesel variant and the petrol variant remains the same.
The price hike is around Rs. Rs 20,317.
“… We have seen no relent in the input costs over several months now, which has forced us to increase the cost of the Vento,” Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt Ltd Member of Board & Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Neeraj Garg said.
The diesel variant forms the bulk of sales and considering the steep rise in petrol prices, a further hike could dampen the sales of the petrol variant. VW India has also introduced a special finance scheme to further boost the sales for the petrol Vento. The car gets a attractive 6.99%*
All customers who book the Vento Diesel Variant until June 30, 2011, will be able to avail the car without the price increase.
