Volkswagen India is now trying to grab share in all segments from the small car to the big luxury car. Volkswagen India will be soon launching the flagship model from Volkswagen stable in India.
The company will launch its top-of-the-line Phaeton next month (June) with an ex showroom price tag of Rs. 76.3 lakh. This will come as VW’s third CBU import, the two others being the Touareg and the new Beetle.
The Phaeton will compete against the Mercedes S-Class, BMW 7-Series, Audi A8, Porsche and Jaguar.
With the introduction of the Phaeton, VW would have a complete range of offerings for the Indian market, with cars ranging from in price Rs 4.42 lakh to Rs 76.30 lakh.
