Piaggio is gearing to re-launch the Vespa brand in India with its LX125 scooter. The scooters will make their presence felt at the 2012 Auto Expo and will be launched in India shortly after that.
Vepsa will initially launch the LX 125 followed by LX 150 automatic scooters. The scooters were caught testing in Baramati, about 100 km from Pune, where the production facility for these scooters is being set up.
The test mules were covered and the distinguishing feature seemed only the alloy wheels. One scooter had 3 spoke while the other had 5 spoke.
Vepsa will price the scooters a bit on the higher side and will mainly compete with Honda Activa and Suzuki Access.
