Ford India is planning is on a spree to launch refreshed products. The company has launched the Fiesta Classic as the Ford Classic while the Fiesta badge will now be used only on the all new Fiesta sedan. But how can Ford stay away from the Figo which is the highest selling car in the Ford stable.
The company has been testing a couple of Figo mules in Chennai with masked tapes. We have got some internal news of the Figo facelift being launched around diwali festive season.
Ford is already conducting clinical trials of the new features and is taking feedback from a number of customers all over India.
The changes on the front seem minimal and mainly confined to new tail lamps, slightly refreshed headlamps. Ford may infuse new and revised interiors. We hope Ford does get a solution and introduce rear power windows which is missing and is a common feature amongst competition.
Amongst the new features include:
Start stop button which means one can start the car on a push of a button and keyless go. (Click to see the pics of Figo with Start stop button)
Set of new Alloy wheels
Voice command in the top end
Variant re-badging to Trend, Ambiente, Style & Titanium
We could expect the prices to be revised but looking at the sales slipping month on month Ford may be keep the prices tags at the current levels. With more features and aggressive pricing Ford Figo once again enter the 10 sales charts.
