Mercedes-Benz will launch the 2013 G-Wagen G63 AMG on the 19th of this month. This will be the fourth SUV to be launched in the same month. Force Motors will also re-launch the Gurkha MUV which is based on the old generation G-Wagen.

To be priced above 1.2 crores, the G 63 is powered by a monstrous twin-turbocharged 5.5-litre V8 petrol engine which is mated to a seven-speed 7G-tronic gearbox.
Mercedes-Benz India will also launch the new GL-Class SUV which is expected to happen in March –April. The GL –Class will be launched as a CBU and CKD assembly will start by August 2013.
Other big launches from the German car maker in the Indian market in 2013 will be the new A-Class which will be the least price Merc starting at Rs. 18 lakhs. The A-Class will be offered in both petrol & diesel from day 1.
Next will be the B-Class diesel which will also share its engines with the A-Class. The facelifed E-Class will be launched around the festive season and we could expect the launch to happen somewhere around August-September.
There are also rumours of the all new S-Class to make it by end 2013. Mercedes-Benz plans to add at least 3-4 more models by 2015 offering the customers a wide range to choose from.
With aggressive pricing, bigger dealer network and wide range of products could help the German luxury car maker to take number one spot it lost to its German competitors in 2009.
