TVS will launch the Phoenix motorcycle on the 28th of this month. 125cc executive motorcycle segment has been growing and TVS has no much share even having the Flame in the segment. The Phoenix will help the company change this perception and also give some good competition to the Honda Shine, Hero Super Splendor and Glamour.
The company claims the product will be the best in the segment by its unique features as compared to its competitors. The bike features premium styling, single downtube tubular steel frame, petal-type front disc brake, electric start and digital instrument console.
The Phoenix was showcased as a concept Radeon at the 2012 auto expo. The TVS Phoenix will be powered by a 125cc engine capacity mated to a 5 speed gear box.
The brand would represent a bold new statement in the executive motorcycle segment. Specifically tailor made for the everyday rider, this bike is feature packed and will provide an exciting riding experience and a modern styling.
The next 18 months will also see s series of new launches in both motorcycles and scooters from TVS. The company hopes gain a higher market share and is also mulling the launch of higher capacity bikes.
