After a successful cycle training camp aimed at sensitising the school-goers and children about road safety, the Goa Motor Sports Association (GMSA) in collaboration with TVS, GSA and FMSCI will organise a TVS Save Youth Save Goa Road Safety Campaign, this time for two wheelers, at Future Hope School grounds, Gomes Race Track, Anna-waddo, Candolim on February 25 and 26.
The 2-day event is a Future Hope School initiative.
Pointers of TVS Save Youth Save Goa Road Safety Campaign

Boys are entitled for a TVS Apache, while a lucky girl could drive home a TVS Wego.
Addressing a press conference, Mr Ashley Gomes, GMSA president, said that the 2-day TVS Save Youth Save Goa Road Safety Campaign will be held under the supervision of Team Goa Racing comprising Rabbani Mulla, Prajyot Priolkar, Shabuddin Syed, Rajesh Naik and Royal Caeiro.
“The fun-training technical camp for two wheeler riders of Goa follows the successful cycle training camp and is being promoted on the same lines, mainly to train the Goan youth on how to safely ride a two-wheeler. The event is not a competition and is open to all ages provided he or she has a valid civil driving licence, which is compulsory for participation,” stated Mr Gomes.
The two-day event will be held from 3pm to 6pm on Feb 25 and the following day will be conducted from 10am to 6pm as the GMSA appeals to the youth to come and learn the art of being better and safe rider for free. Mr. Gomes disclosed that participants can bring in their own two wheelers accompanied by civil driving licence.
Besides enjoying the pleasure of learning while riding the two wheelers, two lucky participants will walk away with lucrative prizes sponsored by TVS motor company: the winner among boys is entitled for a TVS Apache, while a lucky girl could drive home a TVS Wego.
However, the lucky winner in both categories will be picked randomly from 2 boxes (girls/boys). The GMSA expects more than 500 entries for this event. The winners will be disclosed during the Annual function of Future Hope School on February 29 at Gomes Race track at 8pm. The lucky winners will be disclosed by chief guest, Jatin Jain, motocross champ for 2010-11 from Nagpur.
Divulging on the special riding track designed by GMSA for the safety campaign, Mr Gomes stated that riders will be able to ride on a flat surface of only 1000 sq-mt comprising of sharp turns, curves, zig-zags, S turns, speed breakers, rumblers and pot holes to ensure that all participants gain maximum training skills by just completing 5 laps.
