Toyota may have not launched the Prius in India but that does stop one to own it. Infact a person from Goa has already purchased it.
The Toyota Prius was launched at the Auto Expo 2010.
Building on its pioneering technology and achievements, the Prius leaps further ahead. Powered by the outstanding performance of its intelligent hybrid system incorporating a 1.8-litre engine, it realises the acceleration performance of 2.4-litre class cars, and at the same time delivers exceptional fuel efficiency like small cars. In addition, it satisfies the vehicle’s basic performance with nimble handling, driving stability and excellent comfort. The Prius comes powered by a 1.8-litre 2ZR FXE engine that puts out 136bhp and is mated to a CVT gearbox.

Power mode
Eco mode
Electric vehicle mode (battery)
On the Safety side the Prius comes with ABS, Airbags, Active headrests and many more features.
The Prius comes priced at Rs. 26.55 lakh for the base version and Rs. 27.86 lakh for the fully-loaded car (prices ex-showroom, New Delhi).
