Toyota’s facelifted Fortuner was caught testing again. The Facelifted version is expected in India by end 2011. There has been a lot on news on the Indian auto sphere of a small engine, 4×2 and an automatic variant of the Fortuner to make in along with the facelift.
Along with new variants the Fortuner may come with a lower price tag. Toyota has also increased its production capacity for the new Fortuner to meet demand and don’t let customers looks at other options.
The changes largely include
Large Chrome radiator grille gives the SUV a more subtle look now.
Large Prado look alike headlamps with fog lamps getting a new housing
New wider headlights with washers, absent in the Indian Fortuner (hopefully we may get it now)
New design bumper front and rear bumper
Wraparound rear taillight with chrome treatment
Side mirrors with lights integrated
Faux wood inserts replaced by a dark grey finish which now give the SUV a bit more upmarket feel
It also gets a wooden finished along with leather cover. Steering controls are also standard.
