Toyota India is all set to enter the small car segment with the launch of its latest Etios Liva hatchback on the 27th of June. The car was delayed initially as Toyota was finding it hard to meet demand of the Ethios sedan. Later the Tsunani added more vows to the launch.
However Toyota after resuming full production is all set to launch the hatchback. The Etios Liva will come with a 1.2 litre petrol engine and later with a diesel engine.
The pricing will play a very crucial role. Maruti is also gearing to launch the new Swift. The Etios for is expected to do the same role as the Figo did for Ford.
Expect aggressive pricing which could only market the segment more competitive.
