All details of the Etios and Liva diesel are now crystal clear. Both the cars get the same engines: 1364cc, 4 cyclinder, 8V SOHC, d-4D engine mated to a 5 speed gear box. The power out is 68Ps@3800rpm and 170Nm@1800-2400 rpm of Torque. This engine will use a fixed geometry turbo charger instead of the variable geometry turbo charger the same engine comes within the Toyota Corolla Altis Diesel.
Etios Sedan Diesel will be available in three variants, GD, VD and VXD while the Liva is available in a single trim GD. That’s a surprising move as there are no top variants in the Liva.
The cars promise a good ARAI fuel efficiency of 23.59 kpl for both the Liva hatch and Etios sedan.
The GD trim has features 14-inch tyres and plastic wheel caps, and ABS-EBD as standard and airbags as an option. The VD and VXD have kit-levels that are identical to the 1.5-litre petrol V and VX siblings.
Well only info remaining is the prices which will be revealed at the time of launch.
Stay tuned
