Renault started its solo journey in the Indian in 2010 and in less than two years the company launched five products across different segments. But the Renault Duster proved to be the seller and have crossed 15,000 bookings. To meet the demand and not to turn off the customers due to the long waiting period, Renault India is working round the clock in 3 shifts to meet the demand. The Indian-made Duster is also being exported to the UK market currently.
The Duster was launched in June and opened a new segment in the Indian market. The compact SUV segment is getting hot and will see a number of launches in the next two years. The Duster was launched on the 4th of July with a starting price of Rs. 7.19 Lakhs.
The Duster is available in 2 engine options: 1.6 petrol and 1.5 diesel which is available in two states of tune, 85hp for the mileage conscious drives and 110 for those who want to cruise the highways. The fuel efficiency figures are 20.46kpl and 19.01kpl for the 85PS and 110PS version respectively.
Renault is also offering a 2 year/80,000km extended warranty and pick and drop for servicing of the car too. The car is available in total 8 variants in 6 different colors.
Renault India launched the Scala sedan on the 7th of September and will help the French car maker to enter the C segment to battle the City and Verna.
