The Aria crossover is currently the flagship vehicle from the Tata stable. The company launched the Aria in November 2010 with only 4×4 option and in August 2011 launched the 4×2 version. With the launch of the Mahindra XUV 500 the competition has only heated and sales are being shifted to the newly launched SUV from Mahindra.
In order to lure more customers of the premium segment and target a new set of buyers Tata is launching the Aria with an automatic gear box. The Aria will be first vehicle which will get an autobox and there are high chances technology could be borrowed from Land Rover.
We feel a more powerful refined engine, increase in quality control, a drastic change in after sales especially for the premium customers and price correction is what Tata needs to push sales of the Aria.
