Tiago Activ is the modded version of the Tiago hatchback, looks rugged and sporty
At the 2016 Auto Expo, Tata Motors had showcased the Tiago Activ which was displayed in Striker Blue paint shade where customers and media opinion was taken as feedback.
The latest buzz is that success of hatchback based crossovers has prompted Tata Motors consider making the Tiago Activ which was code named (Kite 4) into production.
The standard Tiago hatchback looks great and striking and is based on the latest Impact Design language adopted by Tata Motors.
The Tiago Activ however looks alike to the standard Tiago hatchback but gets subtle cosmetic changes done to the car to make it look and feel rugged.
Tiago Activ is and adventure themed version according to Tata Motors
For instance the side body cladding, silver diffuser, sporty black graphics, black front grille, roof rails, black contrasting gloss black roof, mirrors and a roof spoiler and Black and silver alloy wheels add to the rugged feel of the car.
The seats are covered with trendy art leather and the floors are adorned by the signature floor carpets.
Engine line up will remain the same as offered on the standard car which means the 1.2 litre three cylinder Revotron petrol and 1.05 Revotorq engine
The Revotron engine produces t85 bhp and 114 nm of torque and the 1.05 litre three cylinder Revotorq diesel produces 70 bhp and 140 nm of torque both mated to 5 speed manual gearboxes as standard.
The Tiago has received good response and has have received 20,000 plus bookings since its national launch in April.
Tiago Activ when launched could add more success for the Tiago brand and Tata Motors in India. Tata Motors is planning to offer the Tiago Activ as separate variant which could be initially offered on made to order basis or in limited batches.
The Tiago Activ gets good response, Tata Motors may put the car into regular production.
