Some good news to our fellow Goan bikers, BMW Motorrad will soon be opening a franchise in Goa very soon. BMW Motorrad is the motorcycle division of German Luxury car maker.
BMW Motarrad the two wheeler division of BMW has launched the cheapest model from its range in the Indian market. The all new F650 GS in the Indian market starts at Rs. 9.99 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi.
In January, BMW Motorrad had showcased the full range of its premium motorcycles at the 2012 Auto Expo. The company presented its entire India range including the HP 2 Sport, the K 1300 series, K 1600 series, R 1200 series and the S 1000 RR.
Currently there are three dealers in India which retail BMW bikes: Bangalore-Navnit Motors, Delhi NCR-Deutsche Motoren and Mumbai- Navnit Motors. The Mumbai dealer is most probably contemplating to open a franchise. The superbike market in Goa has seen a upward shift in the last couple of years and one easily spot some beautiful bikes roaring the streets.
Currently Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Hyosung, Kawasaki and Ducati have set up shops, while Harley Davidson has plans to open a full- fledged dealer by year end.
