Renault has introduced the Kwid hatchback in the Indian market. The Goa launch of the car will happen in the first week of October as confirmed by the dealer.
The Renault Kwid is powered by a new 799 cc three-cylinder petrol engine which produces max power of 54 PS at 5,678 rpm and 72 Nm of max torque at 4,386 rpm.The engine is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, and delivers an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 25.17 km/l.
The Renault comes with many first-in-segment features like: SUV inspired design, 7 inch touch-screen, Media-Nav system, digital Instrument cluster, one-touch lane change indicator
The best-in-class features of the Kwid compared to the Maruti Suzuki Alto and Hyundai Eoa are high Ground clearance of 180 mm, boot capacity of 300 litres, rear knee room – multiple storage spaces, upper sized body dimensions, roomy interior space, service parts maintenance cost, ride & handling characteristics
The Renault Kwid is available in 6 variants and the top variant RxT is priced at Rs. 3.53 lakhs, which is less than Rs. 4 lakhs on-road.

Deliveries of the Kwid will start next month (October) and will be sold via the two dealers Quadros Automark and Priority Auto in Panjim, Mapusa and Margao.
The company is offering a Standard warranty of 50,000 kms / 2 Year Maintenance Policy, which is extendable up to 80,000 km/ 4 years. Renault will also offer complementary Road Side Assistance for 2 years.
