Renault Duster will hit the Indian roads very soon. The SUV which will create a all new segment in the Indian auto market is expected to be launched around 26th of June.
The Duster was shown at the 2012 Auto expo, is based on the Logan platform and will come with a two-wheel-drive version initially. The 4 wheel drive variant could be launched in the next six months. Renault may also launch the all-wheel-drive variant later if the demand does exist.
The Duster will be available in a choice of Diesel and petrol engine. The Duster with Diesel engine will be again available in 2 tunes a powerful 110 bhp and a fuel efficient 85 bhp. The 1.5 litre petrol engine which also does the duty on Nissan Sunny with 105 bhp will be used.

The Duster will be launched in 8 variants and the 4×4 drive option will not be available initially.
The prices are going to be aggressive and if believe some internet sources the SUV could start at Rs. 6.5 lakhs for the base petrol and 7.25 for the base diesel.
