To make a place for any car maker in India, it is very important for it to launch a small car here. And that is exactly what Renault is planning with the Pulse. Renault is all-set to unveil the Pulse compact car for India, on 29th October 2011.
The Pulse will be Renault’s third offering in six months and is based on the same Nissan Micra platform. The Pulse will share the same engines and underpinnings as the Micra and will be built in the same Chennai factory where Nissan builds the Micra.
The Renault Pulse will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine and the 1.5-litre diesel engine and will have similar performance figures as the Micra.
The Pulse will be placed above the Micra and will have a different look in terms of interiors and exteriors. The Pulse small will get all the latest features like: Dual Air bags, ABS, Keyless entry, Auto Climate control and a large number of gadgets & gizmos.
We expect the pricing close to Volkswagen Polo and Maruti Suzuki Swift.
