Our regular GoaOnWheels blog reader and a car enthusiast Mr. Saiesh Nayak became a proud owner of a new Honda Jazz and was really excited about migrating from his previously owned Maruti WagonR to the hatchback. GoaOnWheels Team caught up with Mr Saiesh Nayak to share his excitement and checkout his new car.
Saiesh stated “This is our 2nd car and we are happy with the choice we have made. Moving on from a Maruti WagonR to a Honda Jazz is really an exciting experience. We made sure that the car is ready to be rolled out from the Caculo showroom on 4th June 2012 as it was my Dad’s 60th Birthday. Honda wins my heart for its comfort and safety, besides that, Jazz falls in the premium hatchback category and the spacious car would catch envious eyes at any time.”
When asked whether there were any other cars which were thought off before going for the Jazz, Saiesh said, “We looked at Skoda Fabia before deciding Honda Jazz. The base model of Skoda Fabia did not offer much security, while Honda Jazz provided all the security features like ABS, EBD and twin air bags for even the lowest variants, That’s where Jazz scored over Fabia. The Jazz came as a packaged car including a 6 CD changer and powerful speakers which were absent in Fabia variants except the top model”.
Exited about owning the Honda Jazz, Saiesh decided to go for a drive with the GoaOnWheels team, and continued, “It feels great to own a Honda car and when the roads are open it’s a delight. It’s a proud feeling to own a White Jazz.” He further stated that they choose the intermediate model over the top model which had auto retractable mirrors and a sporty look which went beyond their needs. The On-Road price of the Model was 6.75Lacs.
Saiesh was very much excited about the interiors of the car and the safety features packed into the car. He was even more impressed with the versatility of the rear seats (60:40 and the flattening from both ways) and which made him feel like having a little home in motion when on long drives.
He further stated that “the the door locks don’t get auto locked when in motion. This is one thing that I would have probably have enjoyed. Parking sensors would have been a value add to the car”.
