The new 3-series will come with three engine options. The base 320d will get an upgraded version 2.0-litre diesel motor. In the petrol one will get a choice of two engines. A 320i with 2.0-litre, 184bhp turbo petrol and the top-of-the-line 328i will also come with a 2.0-litre petrol engine but with upgraded turbo with 245bhp.
There are rumours of the 328i to come with all wheel drive which could be the first time BMW will offer this model for the Indian market. The xDrive 328i will be the answer to Audi’s A4 quattro.
We can expect some aggressive pricing from BMW as the race for number is getting hotter with both Audi and Mercedes-Benz planning an onslaught on new models in the coming months.
