Nissan India will launch the new Sunny sedan in India on the 20th of Septmeber.
The target customer for the Nissan Sunny people in the age 35-40, married couple with or without children, working ofr MNC’s, who are family oriented, have lifestyle who would like to go for weekend tirps and are achievement oriented.
The Sunny will get a 1.5 petrol HR15DE engine with 1498cc, producing 99S@6000 rpm, Torque of 134NM@4000 rpm. The car returns an ARAI-approved 16.95 kmpl.
The will get safety features air bags, ABS, EBD along with comfort features like: keyless entry, audio steering controls, integrated audio system and ac vents at the rear.

To start with Nissan will only launch the Petrol version of the car and the diesel will follow later, a similar strategy used by Nissan for the Micra. The diesel Micra outsells the petrol with ratio of 80:20 (diesel:petrol).
The new Sunny will have upto 90% local content and wil be made in the Oragadam Chennai facility. The car will also be exported to Middle East and Africa shortly after the launch in India. The current Sunny will be sold in 170 countries across the globe.
The Sunny will be priced between the Hyundai Etios and the new Hyundai Verna.
