Nissan India has got a sales momentum with the launch of the Sunny sedan. The Sunny is currently available with both petrol and diesel engine options. Nissan now plans to plonk a automatic transmission into the Sunny.
The Nissan Sunny will be equipped with a 4 speed automatic transmission and will be available only in the petrol variant. We hope it comes with the diesel variant too.
The Sunny comes with a 1.5 petrol HR15DE engine with 1498cc, producing 99S@6000 rpm, Torque of 134NM@4000 rpm. The car returns an ARAI-approved 16.95 kmpl.
The car features air bags, ABS, EBD along with comfort features like: keyless entry, audio steering controls, integrated audio system and ac vents at the rear.

The Sunny sedan with automatic transmission will also see exports in a few markets from India. Renault India is also planning to a launch a sedan which is also based on the Sunny Platform and may be christened Scala.
Expect a premium of Rs. 1 to 1.5 lakhs on the Sunny CVT Automatic variant when launched in the Indian market.
