Nissan Motor India has started booking orders across its 20 dealerships for the diesel variant Micra which is expected to go on sale before Christmas this year.
The Micra Diesel coupled with the features will be a good buy compared to its competitors like Maruti Swift and Skoda Fabia.
“The success of petrol variant of Micra in the domestic market has given us huge confidence to introduce the diesel variant within six-months from the launch of petrol version. We are confident that the diesel-powered Micra would fulfill the discerning needs of Indian customers,” Nissan Motor India’s Managing Director and CEO, Kiminobu Tokuyama, said.
The diesel Micra will be available in two variants – XV and XV Premium.
The XV dCI has features like driver side airbag, manual AC, power windows, music system and black interiors.
The fully loaded XV dCI premium has climate control, 15 inch alloys, driver side airbag, push button start, keyless entry, auto retractable mirrors and beige interiors.
The vehicle’s 1.5-litre diesel engine boasts of a fuel economy figure of 23.08 kmpl which is the best in its class.
The company has sold around 4,500 units of Micra since July 15 this year.
