Maruti Suzuki has officially started the new Swift teasers with a nationwide advertisement in many newspapers. Seems like the new Swift is coming very soon and that the tentative launch is expected to be on 17 August.
The Swift has sold more than 6 lakh units in India and has gained the market leader position.
Maruti Suzuki has invested more than 6,000 crore rupees towards increasing production capacities and developing R&D which will help bring down waiting period for its cars.
Bookings for the new Swift have begun and existing customers get an option to upgrade for the new car. However one will have to pay the difference in price.
The new Swift will come with the K-Series petrol engine with power pumped to 90Ps while the Multijet diesel engine also gets a power boost by 5Ps and will now deliver 80 Ps.
