Mahindra has launched the Quanto compact SUV in the Indian market. The SUV starts at Rs.5.82 lakhs (ex-showroom Thane)

The Quanto is powered by a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder, mCR100 diesel engine with Micro Hybrid technology. The 1493cc engine is developed on the mhawk series by chopping a cylinder and adding a twin turbo to produce 100 BHP of peak power at 3750 RPM and 240 Nm of peak torque between 1600-2800 RPM.
The engine is mated to a 5 speed gear box and returns a mileage of 17.21 km/l.
The Quanto gets a 5+2 seating configuration with an independent double wishbone, coil springs with anti-roll bar suspension at the front and five-bar link coil springs at the rear . The SUV gets 205/65/R15 tubeless tyres and decent set of alloy wheels.
The Quanto is available in 6 colour options and 4 variants: C2, C4, C6 and C8. Colour options include: black, brown, beige, red, silver and white .
The Quanto is loaded with all features which are borrowed from the Xylo like: ABS, EBD, dual airbags (on top variants only), reverse assist system, 2-din audio system, granite themed dashboard, digital drive assist system, digital immobilizer, rear wiper and washer.
A turning radius of 5.4 and ground clearance of 180mm gives it an ideal balance for city and week end drives.
Mahindra is targeting the compact hatchback segment where the Swift in the king. The Quanto is based on the Ingenio platform which has been tested for several lakhs of kilometres and is also one of the most spied and popular scoop on the blogosphere.
