Force has launched the new One SUV in Goa. With the demand for passenger cars growing at 10 to 15 per cent annually in Goa, Force Motors, which is on a countrywide inaugurating showroom spree, has opened two separate showrooms in St Andre, Agassaim, Goa.
Its managing director Mr Prasan Firodia inaugurated the personal vehicle showroom for the SUV Force One sport utility. And St Andre local MLA Mr Franscisco Silveira inaugurated the commercial vehicle showroom.
After delivery of the first vehicle, Kamat Automobile Pvt Ltd Mr Prashant Kamat the authorized dealer said Force One has received positive response from several prospective buyers following a test drive and is available with a range of finance options.
The Force One SUV price is at `10.65 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is equipped with a 2.2-liter diesel Daimler FMTech engine whose horsepower is equivalent to the reigning rivals, and is made by us under license, Mr Firodia told a press conference.
The Force One SUV is a based on the Chinese Ford Explorer, known as the Guangdong Foday Explorer III.
The Force One SUV features a 2.2 Litre common rail turbo diesel engine, an upgraded version of the OM 611, which is a Daimler product. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and suspension & Chassis has been tuned by the UK based Lotus.
The vehicle is being manufactured at Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh will compete with the likes of Mahindra Scorpio, Tata Aria, Tata Safari and Ford Endeavour.
