Audi will launch the facelifted Q5 SUV in the Indian market on the 10th of January. The German luxury car maker is very close to claim the number one spot in the Indian market and new launches could further increase the chance.
The new Q5 was unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show.
GOW caught the Q5 testing in Mumbai last month. The facelifted Q5 sports Audi’s new six-point front grille with chrome inserts, new headlamps with LEDs and a slightly redesigned front bumper with new design casing for front fog lamps. On the rear the Q5 gets slightly tweaked tail lamps. The changes on the inside are limited to a more premium trim and the new steering wheel design.
The Audi Q5 facelift is expected to come with a slightly recalibrated chassis, a new suspension and the new 3.0 litre TFSI engine, which will join the current engine lineup.
Audi will have to work on a new pricing strategy for the Q5, bearing in mind Mercedes-Benz have launched the ML 250 CDI at a very aggressive pricing of Rs. 46.5 lakhs.
