Mahindra’s Mini Xylo is undergoing testing for quiet some time now. It is in the final stages of testing. The car presently is undergoing high speed testing and is doing rounds on the Mumbai Pune Expressway. Our Goaonwheels team saw the Mini Xylo testing twice on the Expressway. Sadly it was going in the other direction and thus we could not take the pictures.
Lots of pictures of the mini Xylo have surfaced on the net and we have shown our readers the pictures time and again. Most of the spy pics were highly camouflaged and one could not deduce much about the design. But thanks to our friends at IAB we now have some idea about the side profile. Seen in the picture is the side profile of the Mini Xylo, the rear quarter glass is clearly visible. It is one piece of glass and blends well with the D-pillar which is finished in black. The B and C pillars too could be finished in black but we cant say for sure. There is also a talk of the mini Xylo being a seven seater but there is no confirmation on it.
The mini Xylo will be powered by a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine that produces 70bhp of power and 160Nm of torque. The car will be under 4 meters to qualify for the small car category and thus save vital excise duty which could enable Mahindra to price the mini Xylo competitively.
