Mercedes-Benz will soon add a new diesel variant to the existing line-up. The B-Class diesel is all set to hit the roads on 11th of July. This is the third product from the German luxury car in a span of just 2 months.
Betting on the festive season to generate momentum, The B-Class B180 will be powered by a 2.2 litre diesel engine producing 108 BHP and 250 Nm.
According to some sources the B-Class will be offered in a single trim, Style with many features shredded to keep costs low. The car will not be offered with a sunroof, navigation and Parktronic system. In terms of safety there is no compromise and the B180 will continue to be offered with 7 airbags, ATTENTION ASSIST, ADAPTIVE BRAKE, Electronic Stability Program ESP®, Anti-Lock Braking system, Hill Start Assist with Hold function, Acceleration Skid Control (ASR), Brake Assist (BAS) and Tyre pressure loss warning system.
Pricing is expected to be lower than the petrol models and will go on sale from 11th July. Mercedes-Benz has regained traction in the Indian market and with new launches in the pipeline we could expect the three pointed star to gain the number one position soon.
