Mercedes-Benz will soon launch the M-Class with a smaller 2.2 litre engine in October. The new ML 250 will be offered in diesel engine option only and is expected to be priced close to Rs. 50 lakhs.
Mercedes-Benz launched the new M-Class in May at Rs. 5,690,000 ex-show-room Delhi.
The ML 250 BlueTEC Sport 4-cylinder diesel 2,143cc, engine develops a max power of 204hp (150kw) @ 4,200rpm and enormous 500 Nm @ 1,600–1,800 of Torque. The engine features latest generation common-rail diesel system, for instance, features optimised combustion chambers, fast and precise injectors, and injection pressures of up to 2,000 bar, while two-stage turbocharging and high ignition pressures help to maximise torque at all engine speeds. For enhanced refinement, the engine is also fitted with counter-rotating balancer shafts.
The smaller engine will also deliver higher mileage and is mated to 7G-Tronic Plus 7-speed automatic gear box.
The new M-Class has been fitted with technology that would help customized settings for engine performance, automatic transmission, anti-lock braking system (ABS), Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Electronic Traction System all at the touch of the off-button on the console. The SUV is loaded with technology and also features ECO start-stop function, Active Parking Assist with integrated PARKTRONIC, ATTENTION ASSIST and PRE-SAFE technology.
