Mercedes Doesn’t have a car in the small SUV segment to compete with likes of BMW X1 and recently launched Audi Q3, the B-class is branded as a Compact Sports Tourer rather than a hatchback and will try and eat some sales from the above mentioned cars. It will also lead to the opening of an all new segment which was unexplored thus far. The B-class will be a CBU and is likely to be priced in the 20 to 25 Lakh range. What remains to be seen is whether Mercedes will get the first mover advantage or will it be overshadowed by the smaller SUV’s from the rivals.
