Italian luxury sports car brand Maserati a part of the Fiat group will make its debut in India in April, challenging the Lamborghinis, Bugattis, Ferraris and Porsches.
With the increase in number of millionaires and expensive cars, Luxury auto makers want to cash on the growing Indian market. Recently Ferrari also announced its entry in India.
Maserati line-up is produced only in Modena in Italy in limited numbers and is shipped to about 57 markets. The cars will come as CBU’s in India and will allow the owner to customise to suit its taste.
Maserati will launch all the models in India. Its two-seater GranCabrio range will cost around Rs. 5 crore, Quattroporte sedan will start from Rs. 3 crore while the top-end sporty GranTurismo coupe will be around Rs. 4.75 crore.
