India’s leading car maker Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the Kizashi in India in the month of February. The company which showcased the sedan at the 2010 Delhi auto expo will be debuted very soon.
The vehicle, to be imported fully from parent Suzuki’s facility in Japan, will be positioned between likes of Honda Accord and Toyota Camry at the upper end and Honda Civic, Volkswagen Jetta and Toyota Corolla at lower end.
Maruti Suzuki may consider the option of assembling the Kizashi in India in future if the demand justified.
Kizashi is powered by a 2.4 litre petrol engine and will be available in both manual and automatic transmission options and will be formally launched on February 2
The Kizashi gets the same 4-cylinder, 16 valve 2.4litre DOHC motor that powers the Grand Vitara. The engine develops 175.5bhp while developing 23.4kgm of max torque.
