Maruti Suzuki New Dzire to launch on 16th May.
Maruti Suzuki has opened bookings for the 2017 New Dzire across all dealerships for an amount of Rs. 11,000. The new generation Dzire compact sedan will be launched on 16th May.
The new gen Dzire was unveiled few days back and will drop the Swift nameplate. It is first time Maruti Suzuki will launching the Dzire ahead of the new gen Swift which is expected to be introduced during the festive season.
The new Dzire will be available in four grades: L, V, Z and Z+, with Z+ coming with LED projectors, Touch screen infotainment, push button start and rear AC vent.
The new compact sedan is based on the new HEARTEC platform which underpins the Baleno and the upcoming new Swift hatchback. The ‘HEARTECT’ platform makes it lighter and more fuel efficient than the outgoing car.
There are no changes to the engines and the compact sedan will continue to be available with a 1.2L petrol motor developing 84 Hp and 115 Nm of torque, and the 1.3L DDiS turbodiesel with 75 Hp and 190 Nm of torque.
The new Gen Dzire will come with Airbags as standard from base variant and will most likely offer ABS & EBD from second variant.
The new Dzire is 3995mm long, 1515mm high and 1735mm wide. Wheelbase is 2,450mm. It gets a 376-litre boot.
On the pricing front the car will be priced at least 25,000-30,000 over the current Dzire.
The Dzire will compete with the likes of Ford Aspire, Hyundai Xcent, Volkswagen Ameo, Honda Amaze and Tata Tigor.
