Maruti Suzuki new Alto is all set to launch on the 17th of this month. The company has launched an exclusive teaser website which has already got more than 1 lakh plus hits. To create more hype the company has released official pics of the car.
The new Alto 800 is going to be a very important model for India’s largest car maker and the company is banking on it to regain its lost market share. The company will launch the car with two fuel options: Petrol & CNG. The Alto 800 will be launched in 6 variants in total in seven shades.
The Alto 800 will be powered by the same F8 engine but has been extensively modified to improve performance and return a high mileage of 22.7 kmpl. The three cylinder engine is mated to a five speed manual transmission and develops 47.5 bhp @ 6000 rpm and 69 Nm of Torque @ 3500 rpm. To make downs shifts smoother, the company has a new DSA (down shift assist) mechanism incorporated into the gearbox along with the new DPT (Detent Pin Technology).
