Mahindra 2 Wheelers have unveiled 2 new motorcycles. Pantero and Centuro will be the two new offerings from Mahindra, which also marks its re-entry in the motorcycle segment. The two bikes have been designed in-house by Mahindra at their R&D centre in Pune from scratch in a record time of just 18-months.
The motorcycles are powered by a indigenously designed and developed MCi-5 (Micro Chip Ignited 5-Curve) engine and which will be manufactured at the Pithampur plant near Indore which became a part of the Mahindra 2 wheeler when the company acquired Kinetic’s 2 wheeler business.
The Pantero is positioned in the eco-commuter segment while the Centuro in the premium commuter segment.
The Pantero will be available in four variants
T-1 (Self Start/Cast Alloy Wheels/ Digital Console),
T-2 (Self Start/ Cast Alloy Wheels/ Analog Console),
T-3 (Kick Start/ Cast Alloy Wheels/ Analog Console)
T-4 (Kick Start/ Spoke/ Analog Console)
The Centuro will make its debut after a couple weeks once the Pantero hits roads. Positioned as a premium 110cc bike, the Centuro is loaded with features such as central locking, anti-theft system with an engine immobiliser, remote flip-key with LED lights, find me lights, ully-lit digital instrument cluster with service and distance-to-empty fuel indicator.
