Mahindra TUV 300 bookings open, Goa launch soon

Mahindra has started accepting bookings for the battle tank inspired TUV 300 which is slated to launch on 10^th of September 2015.

Spy pics surfaced on the internet have revealed that the TUV 300 gets a Jeep inspired front grille and up right angular head lamps. The side profile does look a bit boxy but the squared wheel arches and Alloys do stand out. The rear reminds you of the Quanto with the Tail gate mounted spare wheel.

Not much has been revealed about the interior, but the dash is expected to get an up-market feel with dual tone upholstery.

The TUV 300 will offer 5+2 seating making it a seven seater. The 3rd row will get jump seats like the Scorpio and Quanto.

Power will come from the brand new 1.5 litre Mhawk80 diesel motor which is a revised version of the Quanto three cylinder unit. Transmission options will include 5 Speed manual. TUV 300 will also be available with an automatic AMT gear box.

Mahindra has also launched a teaser ad for the upcoming SUV which highlights the T in the TUV – toughness.

The TUV 300 will help Mahindra to take on the likes of Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano.

SMG dealer for Mahindra in Goa is working day and night to bring up the new dealership which has been pending for many years thanks to the sluggish automotive market in Goa. The company could use the TUV 300 sub-4 metre SUV launch to also inaugurate the new dealership which is located at Verna on the airport road.
