Mahindra Quanto launched in Goa

Mahindra has launched the Quanto compact SUV in Goa. This is the sixth product offering form Mahindra and it also marks the company’s entry in the compact SUV segment. The Quanto is available in four variants: C2, C4,C6 & C8. Launched on the 20^th of September pan India the compact SUV has already received more than 5000 bookings.

The SUV is powered all new a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder, mCR100 Twin Turbo diesel engine with Micro Hybrid technology. The 1493cc engine is developed on the mhawk series by chopping a cylinder and adding a twin turbo to produce 100 BHP of peak power at 3750 RPM and 240 Nm of peak torque between 1600-2800 RPM. The engine is mated to a 5 speed gear box and returns a mileage of 17.21 km/l. This is also the smallest engine by Mahindra and could be plonked on the Verito in 2014 where the company will no longer have access to Renault engines.

The Quanto is loaded with all features which are borrowed from the Xylo like: ABS, EBD, dual airbags (on top variants only), reverse assist system, 2-din audio system, granite themed dashboard, digital drive assist system, digital immobilizer, rear wiper and washer. The 5+2 seating configuration offers more flexibility.

The Quanto is available in six colour options: Fiery Black, Mist Silver, Toreador Red, Rocky Beige, Diamond White, Java Brown.
