Mahindra will launch the much awaited Quanto compact SUV on the 20th of September. This will be the maiden entry of the utility maker in the compact car segment. Mahindra Quanto is built on the proven Ingenio platform that it shares with the popular Xylo MUV.
Thanks to our friends from Teambhp which have caught the Quanto SUV testing during the shooting in Delhi. The Quanto when viewed from a distance may look like the Xylo but once you get closer to it the compact dimensions and rear spare wheel clearly differentiates form its elder brother.
Under the hood will be a 1.5 litre mHawk engine which is derived form the 2.2 litre which does the duty on the Scorpio, Xylo and XUV5OO. The engine is tuned to produce 100 bhp and will return a mileage of 17.3 kmpl.
Top end variants will gets ABS, two airbags, 6-spoke alloy wheels, steering-mounted audio controls, bluetooth compatibility, height-adjustable driver’s seat, reverse parking assist, adjustable lumbar support and center armrest for driver & front passenger
Mahindra is known for its aggressive pricing and we can expect the same for the Quanto SUV too.
