Mahindra Mini Xylo has been caught a numerous times in India. Mahindra has charted an ambitious strategy to enter the car segment and the Mini Xylo will be the first to enter this segment. Mahindra is betting hard on the product and is rigorously testing the product not only India but also in Northern Europe.
The Mini Xylo is based on the Xylo shortened Ingenio platform.
The mini Xylo will sport a three cylinder diesel unit which is a shortened version of the M-Hawk engine displacing 70 hp of power and 160Nm of torque. The SUV will be less than four metres of length which qualifies it for the 10% excise duty. The engineers have completely redesigned the rear with the spare wheel mounted on the rear door. The interiors will be see subtle changes.
Will the mini Xylo follow the XUV500in the European market once launched or is Mahindra just doing routine testing as it carries for most of its product?
