Mahindra’s new world SUV looks production ready and soon hit the roads. India’s scoop master magazine Autocar has got the undisguised images of the all new Mahindra SUV code named W01.
The SUV gets swept headlights with day time running lights, large chunky wheels, a big aggressive grille, lights integrated in the OVRM’s and many more features which could be a first for Mahindra.
The new SUV uses a monococque or car like construction, with the 2.2 mHawk doing the duty under the hood with power pumped to 140hp and a decent torque of 320Nm. The SUV could get a 5 or six sped gear box developed with the help from Ricardo.
The W01 will be positioned above the Scorpio and will be a priced at a premium tag. The Aria will now a new competitor with Mahindra’s new SUV. We expect pricing to be above the 12 lakh mark and it will be offered in 4×2 and 4×4 drive options.
