Volkswagen has announced the launch of in India. This festive season every car manufacturer have introduced new models limited editions, anniversary editions to attract customers to their showrooms.
Volkswagen has added some thoughtful features to the Polo Exquisite and are mainly cosmetic changes.
The Polo Exquisite is equipped with the following features –
- Black roof foil
- Carbon-fibre finish on ORVMs
- Trunck garnish and body side moulding
- Scuff plates
- Seat covers
- Carbon-fibre finish centre console
- Detachable made-to-size window blinds
- Floor mats
The Polo Exquisite is an add-on kit and is available on the Polo Highline Manual Transmission models.
The Polo comes with a choice of 1.2 Petrol and 1.5 diesel engine. The Polo 1.2 is powered 3-Cylinder In-line 1198cc petrol engine which develops 75 Ps (55 kW) @ 5400 max power and max torque of 110 Nm @ 3750. The new 1.5 TDi develops high power of 90 Ps (66kW) @ 4200 and torque of 230 Nm @ 1500 – 2500. Both engines are mated to a five speed manual transmission and return fuel efficiency of 16.47 kmpl (1.2 petrol) and 20.14 kmpl (1.5 diesel).
Polo comes equipped with best-in-class safety features like ABS, dual front air-bags as standard fitment and is the only hatchback in its segment with 4-star NCAP safety rating for adult occupants.
This Polo Exquisite offering is available at all Volkswagen showrooms across India from 9th October 2015 onwards. VW recently issued a recall of 389 Polo’s from a single batch of production from the month of September 2015 for inspection and preventive repair of the handbrake mechanism.
