Italian sports car maker Lamborghini hosted a track day at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) to allow the speed aficionados test the high performance Lamborghini Gallardo’s on the race track. The event also marked the launch of two new Gallardo editions: LP 560-4 & LP 570-4 Edizione Tecnica.
The Gallardo LP 560-4 and LP 570-4 EdizioneTecnica were launched at the 2012 Paris Motorshow.
Gallardo LP 560-4
The Gallardo LP 560-4 gets more dynamic rear end design with the triangle and trapezoid rear tail lights the characteristic design elements. The air outlet for the engine bay has now a wider surface area, which helps to improve its thermodynamic efficiency. A new Style Package is available as an option and offers high-gloss black paintwork on the underside of the front spoiler, front and rear grilles and the transverse element of the rear trim to give the Gallardo LP 560-4 an even more powerful look.
The LP 560-4 is powered 5,204cc, 10 cylinders V 90° which produces maximum power of 560 hp @ 8,000 rpm and Maximum torque of 540 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. LP 560-4 does a top speed of 325 km/h and accelerates from 0-100 km in just 3.7 secs.
Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera EdizioneTecnica
Termed as the best Gallardo ever, the LP 570-4 Superleggera EdizioneTecnica displays sophisticated design inspired by Super Trofeo championship racing cars. The supercar features Lightweight design, pointed nose with two large air intakes, aerodynamic spoiler at the centre, four exhausts with ceramic coating and large aerodynamic carbon-fiber air diffuser. The car also features fixed high rear wing, as carbon-ceramic brakes.
The LP-570 also uses the same engine but is tuned to produce a Max power of 570 (419 kW) @ 8,000 rpm and 540Nm @ 6,500 of torque. The Supercar develops a top speed of 325 km/h and accelerates from 0-100 km in just 3.4 secs.
The Edizione Tecnica comes with three new exclusive optional colour combinations with the entire roof arch and front air intakes are painted in a contrast color. The available shades are: Nero Nemesis (matt black) body with Arancio Argos (orange) pillars and front air intakes, Bianco Canopus (matt white) body with Arancio Argos pillars and front air intakes, and Arancio Argos body with Nero Nemesis pillars and front air intakes.
The new Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 is priced at Rs 2.61 crore (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) while the new Gallardo LP 570-4 Edizione Tecnica is priced at Rs 2.92 crore (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).
2013 marks the 50th anniversary of Lamborghini. The company launched the Aventador Roadster in January. This year will see the Raging bull host a number of celebratory events and activities around the world including India.
