Kawasaki together with India’s Bajaj Auto plans to launch its most popular bike the Kawasaki Ninja 250R in August. The bike sports a Four-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC, parallel twin 249cc engine with a power output of 26.40 hp (19.69 kW) @ 11,000 rpm and torque of 22 Nm (2.24 kgf/m) 16.2 lb-ft/9,500 rpm.
The bike will be priced around Rs. 2.5 lakhs and will be sold through Bajaj Probike showrooms. It is renowned for its light handling, good fuel economy, sufficient power, and relatively comfortable riding posture, making it a desirable first motorcycle for new riders, and a popular machine with experienced riders who seek a second machine, or wish to enter the sportbike category.
The bike comes with a 6-Speed gear box and liquid cooled engine with front and rear disc brakes. The bike will be imported as a CKD version and will be assembled in one of Bajaj Auto’s Chakan plant.
