Looks like al luxury brands are eying the lucrative Indian auto market which is going to grow at times the volumes.
After the announcement of Maserati, Aston Martin, Ferrari sports luxury car makers, Nissan’s flagship brand, Infiniti is also planning to launch cars in the Indian market very soon.
Infiniti will have a head start as compared to Lexus which is also studying the Indian market for quite sometime.
The Infiniti G Series will compete with the Mercedes C-Class, BMW 3 Series and Audi A4 while the M-series will take on BMW 5 series, E class and yet to be launched A6 and Jaguar XF.
The EX series which are mainly the smaller SUV’s will compete with Audi Q5 and the new BMW X3 which is expected to hit the roads soon. While the FX series SUV’s will compete with BMW X5, Mercedes M-Class and the Volvo XC90. The top of the line QX series SUV’s will take on the Mercedes GL-class and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado.
The Shreyans group will the official importer of Infiniti cars in India. The same group also imports the Maserati, Ferrari, Ducati and Porsche in India.
