Hyundai drops teaser image and video of new Elantra sedan.
After the success of the Creta, Hyundai plans to up the game with the new Elantra sedan. Hyundai will be launching the new premium sedan in Goa on the 23rd of August, which will also coincide with the national launch.
The company has also dropped a teaser of the car which reveals the exteriors and also released many teaser images on the company website and social media sites.
The new Hyundai Elantra will be offered in two engine options. The 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder Dual VTVT petrol engine will produce 150 PS of max power and 190 Nm @ 4,000 rpm of max torque. The Elantra will continue to be powered by a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder, CRDi diesel engine which outputs 126 Ps of power and 265 Nm of torque.
A 6-speed manual and automatic transmission will be offered on the petrol and diesel engine.
The petrol Elantra (MT) will deliver an economy figure of 14.6 kmpl, while the diesel MT will deliver 22.4 kmpl. The Elantra will get two driving modes: Eco and Sport.
The sixth-gen Elantra measures 4570mm in length, 1800mm in width, 1450mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2700mm. The car also has a decent ground clearance of 170 mm, with a turning radius of 5.3-metres. The sedan will have a fuel tank capacity of 50-litres and boot space of 458 litres.
The new Elantra will be offered in five variants: S, SX, SX AT, SX (O), SX (O) AT. The same will be available in both engine options.
The car will features LED tail-lights, LED DRLs, 16-inch alloy wheels, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, dual-zone climate control and electric seats.
The Elantra will be available in the following color options – Blue, Red, Black, Silver and White. Hyundai India will also offer a 3 year/unlimited kilometers warranty as standard.
