DSK Motowheels – Hyosung has planned something big on the 16th of this month. The press invite mentions about product portfolio expansion in Indian and we can certainly expect the GV 650 Cruiser to be launched on the same day. Hyosung may also announce its future plans for the Indian market, which includes new models, a new assembly plant and small R&D centre to help localize the models to meet the Indian standards.
The GV650 will complement the ST7 Cruiser and is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 475,000 to Rs 500,000 (ex-showroom).
The GV 650 Cruiser is powered by a V-twin, 647cc fuel-injected and liquid-cooled engine making an impressive power of 70bhp. The GV650 gets Upside-down type telescopic forks front suspension and twin shocks used at rear. The discs are standard at both ends.
DSK Motowheels may also announce the tentative launch dates for the GV250 cruiser and GT250N, naked version of the GT250R.
The company is also working to further increase the local content which could help to bring down costs of the motorcycles. Hyosung is also planning to launch more models in the future and the company also studying to launch models in the 100cc-150cc range.
