Honda Car India will launch the new generation Jazz and compact SUV in 2014. The company has made its official and the new Jazz will be launched globally by end of 2013 followed by its introduction in the Indian market
The new Jazz platform will spawn three models: New Jazz, Compact SUV and new gen City. The company could showcase the new Jazz and compact SUV at the 2014 Auto Expo and launch the Jazz in around March-April 2014.
The Japanese car maker will launch the compact SUV ahead of the City considering the rising demand for urban SUV’s in India and will compete with the Ford EcoSport which is expected to be launched in a couple of months from now.
The Jazz platform will feature the 1.5 i-DTEC engine, first to be launched on the Amaze sedan. The new engine develops and impressive power of 100PS and returns a high mileage of 25.8 kmpl. Honda may tune the engine for higher power and Torque to be used on the new Jazz, compact SUV and City.
2014 will see Honda Car India even more aggressive and will price the products very competitive considering the immense competition.
