Honda plans to add a new variant VX to the Brio line-up. The car has helped Honda to generate volumes but lack of few features has made few customers stay away from the Brio hatch.
With the new variant, Honda plans to address these issues. The Brio VX will be offered with rear de-fogger and driver seat height adjustment. The car will not get a rear wiper, as it lacks this provision.
The company also introduced the Brio Automatic in October 2012 and also introduced a new variant EX with additional features like 1 DIN audio system (AM/FM, MP3, USB with Aux –In) with Front speakers, Body Coloured Outside Rear View Mirrors, Body Coloured Outside Door Handles, and Door CTR Sash tape.

The Brio has been selling around 2000-2500 units per month. With the new variant and features the company can target higher sales.
Honda has also been testing the Brio diesel, but has no immediate plans to launch the car as the company will focus on the Amaze sedan which will hit the market soon. The Amaze will be offered with a 1.2 petrol engine and 1.5 diesel engine which is specially designed for the Indian market.
Honda will also launch the all New CR-V which is expected to be launched in February.
