Honda has been in the limelight thanks to the Amaze sedan which will help the company cater to a larger customer base and also see a sizeable growth on the sales side. Honda registered an annual growth of 35% by selling an all-time high volume of 73,483 units during Apr 2012 – Mar 2013 as compared to 54,427 units in the corresponding period last year. The company also exported a total volume of 2,622 units during the fiscal year 2012 – 13.
HCIL sold 10,044 units in the month of March’13 as against 11,016 units in March’12. Brio and City have been the main sellers followed by Amaze with 2552 units. Seems like the company have included the wholesale units and not the retail units. The Amaze sedan will be launched on 11th of April.
The Japanese car maker has also expanded its sales and distribution network across the country during the fiscal year 2012 – 13 to 150 facilities in 97 cities. The network included 135 facilities in 83 cities during 2011 – 12.

Honda has discontinued the Civic and Jazz hatch from the Indian market. There are very slim chances of new Civic to make it into India. The new Jazz will be introduced in 2014 and will be offered with Petrol & Diesel engine options.
